Because the cost of each assignment depends on the documents, languages, jurisdictions, research objectives, repositories, deadlines and other project-specific requirements, we generally cannot provide accurate pricing without first reviewing the relevant information.

Certified Document Translation Estimate

For a no-obligation estimate for certified translation, legal translation, medical translation, technical translation, financial translation, corporate translation, multilingual litigation support or historical document translation, please email copies of the documents whenever possible.

Please include:

• The source language and language into which the documents must be translated
• The country, court, government agency, university, employer, attorney, company or other organization that will receive the translation
• The purpose for which the translation will be used
• Your required completion date
• Whether you require certification, notarization, Apostille, authentication or legalization
• Any formatting, transcription or special certification requirements

PDF scans are acceptable when original electronic files are unavailable. For large matters, you may send representative documents so that we can evaluate the scope and discuss the most appropriate approach.

Apostille, Authentication & Legalization Estimate

All Language Alliance, Inc. assists clients with Apostilles, authentication and legalization of U.S. documents, including documents that also require certified translation for use abroad.
To request an estimate, please email:
• A clear copy of each document
• The U.S. state or federal authority that issued the document, if known
• The country where the document will be used
• Whether you already have the original or certified copy required for Apostille
• Whether the document also requires certified translation
• Your desired completion date
• Your current location and where the completed documents should ultimately be delivered

If an Apostille has already been obtained and you need the Apostille and accompanying document translated, please send a PDF of the complete document together with the Apostille certificate.

We will review the documents and requirements before advising you of the appropriate process and providing an estimate.

Genealogy, Citizenship-by-Descent, Heir & Probate Research Estimate

All Language Alliance, Inc. provides professional genealogy and historical-records research for citizenship by descent, probate and inheritance matters, family-history investigations, identity and kinship questions, and other matters requiring documentary evidence from historical sources.

To request a genealogy research estimate, please email:

• The full name of each person being researched, including maiden names and alternate spellings
• Approximate dates and places of birth, marriage and death
• Names of parents, spouses, children or other known relatives
• Countries, states, provinces, cities, towns or villages associated with the family
• The specific question you need the research to answer
• Copies of records, family trees or research already available
• Whether the research is for citizenship by descent, probate, inheritance, litigation or personal genealogy
• Whether certified or official copies of located records will ultimately be required

We will review the information already available, determine an appropriate initial research scope and provide an estimate for the proposed research.
For citizenship-by-descent matters, please also identify the country through which citizenship is being claimed and the ancestral line on which the claim is based.

Historical Records & Archival Research Estimate

All Language Alliance, Inc. conducts historical records and archival research in the United States and internationally, including research at the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), state and local archives, libraries, courts, churches, civil registries and other repositories.

Historical research may involve court records, immigration and naturalization files, military records, probate records, land records, corporate records, vital records, church registers, historical newspapers and other archival collections.

For an estimate, please email:
• The person, family, company, property, court case or event being researched
• Known names, dates and geographic locations
• Court names, case numbers, docket numbers or agency information, if applicable
• The specific record or fact you are trying to establish
• Copies of records, citations or references already available
• The repositories or collections already searched, if known
• Whether you require digital copies, certified copies or both
• Whether foreign-language records will require transcription or certified translation

When substantial research is required, we may recommend an initial paid research phase before estimating the cost of obtaining large quantities of records or conducting additional archival work.

Historical Document Transcription & Translation Estimate

For historical documents written in old handwriting, cursive scripts or historical forms of German, French, Spanish, Latin, Russian and other languages, please send clear scans or photographs of the documents.

Please tell us:
• The language, if known
• Approximate date and place of the record
• Number of pages
• Whether you require transcription, translation or both
• Whether the work is for genealogy, citizenship, probate, litigation, academic research or another purpose

Documents written in historical scripts such as German Kurrent or Sütterlin must generally be reviewed before an estimate can be provided.

Foreign Language Interpreter Estimate

For an estimate for an in-person or remote legal, deposition, medical, business or conference interpreter, please provide:

• Language or dialect
• Type of proceeding or meeting
• Date and starting time
• Time zone
• Estimated duration
• Complete location for an in-person assignment, or remote platform for a virtual assignment
• Whether consecutive or simultaneous interpreting is required
• Nature of the legal, medical, technical or business matter
• Whether the assignment is a deposition, arbitration, mediation, attorney-client meeting, examination under oath, IME, conference, training or another proceeding
For uncommon languages, please indicate whether a qualified remote interpreter would be acceptable if an appropriate in-person interpreter is unavailable.
